· S/T II: The Cosmic Birth and Journey of Shinju TNT didn’t really pique my interest until the fourth track titled “So It Goes." The album-whose-title-shall-not-be-repeated may start out weak if you’re not used to the truly eclectic sound that is Akron/Family but it picks up pretty fast. What makes Akon/Family stand out over similar bands is they actual succeed in pretty much all aspects. The album... has a real organic flow that I don’t think other indie groups could pull off. Everything feels genuine and pure. The vocals fit snuggly in with their sound but still stand out. This is a pretty solid album, and definitely worth a listen.
