· Tao of the Dead’s strong driving guitar and rock-influenced drum beats force you to become immersed in this album immediately. The songs have an epic feel to them and flow perfectly together. The vocals come up short compared to the actual song writing itself. I appreciate what …And You Will Know Us by Trail of Dead are trying to accomplish with this album. There are plenty of well done psychedelic ’70s-influenced solos, but at times Tao of the Dead sounds annoying, leaving the album with little to no playback value. Tao of the Dead is worth a listen just to hear the smooth transitions and talented musicians, but that's about it.
